Scott Pilgrim Contest - Help Spread the Word for Free Stuff!

As a new website, it’s difficult for us to get the word out about Working for the Mandroid without seeming like we’re trying to sell things.  We love talking about comics, television, movies, and pop culture in general and would love to have some new voices in the conversation.  That’s where you guys come in!  Tell your friends about Working for the Mandroid and have them follow us at Twitter at  In return, we’re going to give out some cool prizes.

Even though it only came in at fourth place this weekend, we still love Scott Pilgrim vs the World and think Edgar Wright and his crew of crazy friends put together something that was as much video game and comic book as it was awesome movie.  We would like to spread that love by giving away some of the Scott Pilgrim swag we have, including a copy of the incredible soundtrack as well as a poster and a handful of t-shirts.

So here is how it works:

Step 1: Follow us on Twitter here -

Step 2: Tell your friends about us

Step 3: Once we reach certain numbers of followers, we’ll use a random number generator to determine our winners.  What are these certain numbers?

At 50 followers – we’re giving away a Comic Con exclusive white “Don’t you talk to me about grammar” shirt

At 75 followers – we’re giving away a Comic Con exclusive white “If your life had a face, I’d punch it” shirt along with a huge movie poster (approximately 27 inches by 40 inches)

At 100 followers – we’re giving away a red Scott Pilgrim vs the World movie t-shirt along with a copy of the soundtrack, featuring Broken Social Scene, Metric and a number of songs written by Beck.

Potential Winnings of Epic Epicness!

Step 4: Go see Scott Pilgrim vs the World!

Then come back to the site and tell us what you’d like to see here at Working for the Mandroid.  Want to contribute?  Let us know!  We’re always looking for new voices here and would love to grow this site into a community for all fans.  Feel free to email us at workingforthemandroid at gmail dot com with questions, comments and suggestions.  We’re all ears on how to make this a better place!

Fine print: Giveaways are only available to followers in the United States due to our not so deep pockets.
