It was brought to my attention earlier today that there's this website called the Humble Indie Bundle. Normally they bundle together indie-created videogames, allow people to pay what they want for them, and all the money goes to the developers and charities. But right now they're offering a bundle of 6 e-books from notable authors like Paolo Bacigalupi and Corey Doctorow on a pay-what-you-want scale. All money is going to charity like the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America and Child's Play Charity.
The books in the bundle are:
Pirate Cinema by Cory Doctorow
Pump Six by Paolo Bacigalupi
Zoo City by Lauren Beukes
Invasion by Mercedes Lackey
Stranger Things Happen and Magic for Beginners by Kelly Link
If you pay more than the current average (at the moment I'm typing this, it's all of $11.87), they toss in two other books - Dave McKean & Neil Gaiman's Signal to Noise and John Scalzi's Old Man's War.
Visit HumbleBundle.com to learn more. You have 13 days to take advantage of the offer.
