Random Tuesday: Teaser Tuesday, The Avengers, and Things in Space

I sat down to my computer feeling like I needed to do something, but not being able to figure out what. About twenty minutes went by before I realized, hey silly, write a blog post for Random Tuesday!

During lunch I rewatched "Lazarus Rising", the first episode of Supernatural season 4, and I came very close to writing a ranty post about how Supernatural used to be so good. But I figured no one wants to read yet another Leslie-penned rant that is mostly "But... CASTIEL!" Instead I will just post a picture and move along:

Then I thought I'd write a post about how I just finished a short cartoon series about a teenage boy that wakes up one morning to find he has a miniature girl for a right hand and it wasn't as disturbing as I thought it was going to be. But I was babbling about cartoons a few Random Tuesdays ago, so I'll avoid talk of Midori Days. I'm not entirely sure what I would say about it anyway. Its something that has to be experienced to believe it's level of crazy.

At the moment I should be reading a book for a bookclub meeting on Thursday, so you're getting random links for Random Tuesday and a teaser that made me scratch my head in confusion.

The Eye of Sauron was found in space, so now we know where the apocalypse is coming from. (Tor.com)

Publishers don’t like tablets as e-readers so much anymore as they tempt you to do everything but read. I’d say more, but I need to go check my Twitter feed… (NYTimes.com)

-  I really hope this is how The Avengers movie turns out. It would make me giggle all through the movie.

-  Here’s the actual trailer though:

-  Fernando asked me to include The Simpsons’ take on Game of Thrones, so here you go:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I’m working with a Kindle so I don’t have a page number. I just typed in a random number location that’s somewhere around the middle of the book and this is what you get:

Next to me, Kale stiffened. The way he’d said it, I wasn’t sure if Alex meant me and him, or evading Denazen, but either way it was out of the question.

Location 1458 in the Kindle edition of Touch by Jus Accardo

I have no idea what they’re talking about, so I’m taking this to not be spoilery. Granted I haven’t started the book yet, but it’s the next on the list. Mostly I just want to know if there’s seriously a character named Kale?!

Okay, that's Random Tuesday from me. What Random Things do you have for me?
