Last week I shared the books I carried away from San Diego Comic Con provided by the generous people at Random House and Little, Brown. This week here are the books from the other awesome publishers I got to visit with during my time at the Con.
First up are the lovely people of Penguin:
New Adult Reads, DAW Books, and Sci Fi and Fantasty reads from Ace and Roc samplers
Poptropica: Island Creator Kit by Mitch Krpata (a drawing book that will make its way to my nephew eventually)
Virals by Kathy Reichs (signed)
Not Pictured: Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead
And from my great friend Ed at Simon & Schuster:
Last year I had a hard time finding the Disney/Hyperion booth, but this year I stumbled upon it several times. They were giving out an interesting selection of children and YA titles:
Star Darlings: Sage's Story by Ahmet Zappa & Shana Maldoon Zappa
And finally the books that I picked up here and there around the convention floor:
Smart Pop Preview 2013 sampler
Cress by Marissa Meyer (thank you soooo much to Macmillan for providing me with my prize for the year!)
Twinmaker by Sean Williams (thanks to Harper Teen)
Barbarians: A Handbook for Aspiring Savages by Byron Clavicle & Grute Skullbasher (thanks to Insight Editions)
To the Heart of the Storm by Will Eisner (thanks to the Con itself and the Eisner Awards for handing out all sorts of Eisner goodies)
Macmillan also provided me with an opportunity to say hello to Marissa Meyer again and tell her she is awesome. In return she signed my ARC of Cress:
And that was the bookish part of my Con swag. What sort of awesome books have found their way into your home this week?
