Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown’s gates, you can never leave.

One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself.

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is a wholly original story of rage and revenge, of guilt and horror, and of love and loathing from bestselling and acclaimed author Holly Black.

This is a great take on vampires that takes out all the glitter and romance and replace it with creepy and violence. Enter to win a copy of this fantastic recent release. Open to those with US mailing addresses only.

Clear Your Shelf Giveaway Hop - Take My Stuff!

I got a lot of stuff and I want people to take it away, so I have more room in my office and on my shelf. Thankfully Kathy at I Am a Reader, Not a Writer and Mary at Bookhounds are hosting the August edition of the Clear Your Shelf giveaway hop! Huzzah!

This contest will run from the time this post goes up through midnight on August 27th. Two winners will be chosen! Winners must have a US mailing address and respond to my email within 48 hours to claim their prize. And what is the prize?

Below are several pictures of the box that originally held my giveaway items, the pile of books that have piled on top of the books and another for the books on my giveaway shelf in my library. I am going to take two of the medium sized USPS flat rate boxes and fill them with as many books, posters, book marks, buttons, bracelets and assorted swag that I can possible fit in them and send them to the lucky winners. Each box will have at least 3 books (mix of ARCs and finished copies), though I think I can fit four or five in each box. You can choose whether you only want YA or adult titles and I'll do my best to accommodate.

So here are the pictures (I apologize for the quality in advance) and the entry form is below. You can find the rest of the participants in the hop over at Kathy's giveaway post.

And here is the Rafflecopter. All follow options are in the left sidebar. Good luck! Please take my stuff!

Welcome to the Working for the Mandroid stop on the Shower of Books Giveaway Hop hosted by the great Kathy at I am a Reader, Not a Writer and Karielle at Books ala Mode. You can see all the other great participants of this giveaway hop at the end of this post.

We love science fiction here at WFTM and for this giveaway I'm excited to provide one lucky winner with an advanced copy of the upcoming hot YA science fiction release, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey.

I reviewed this book last week and it has gotten me all kinds of excited for how this big this book will be. It's already sold its movie rights and it's the beginning of what could be an absolutely epic alien science fiction series. Hopefully the lucky winner of our stop will love it as much or more than I did.

The rules remain our usual: the contest officially begins as soon as I post this and runs through 12:01am eastern time on May 1. The giveaway is open to anyone with a US mailing address and will be chosen via Rafflecopter about a week (or two) after the contest closes. The winner will have 48 hours to respond via email or another winner will be chosen. Please respond if you are my winner because it makes me sad when I have to choose someone else. The Passage meets Ender’s Game in an epic new series from award-winning author Rick Yancey.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

Good luck and make sure to visit the other blogs on the hop!

Mid-Winters Eve Blog Hop - Win Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

It's that time again! That time when Kathy at I Am a Reader, Not a Writer hosts another giant giveaway hop! This time she's co-hosting with Oasis for YA to celebrate the winter's solstice which I believe is tomorrow night. On top of that, soon it will be my birthday, so I want to give things away. Lucky for you.

I've been kind of greedy. I've been holding on to two copies of this book, waiting for the perfect time to give one copy of it to an awesome reader. It's been sitting on my counter, taunting me with it's secrets because I haven't had time to read it. But both those things are going to change!

Saturday is my birthday and for a present to me, I'm going to start reading this book, and for a present to one of you guys, I'm giving another copy of this away to a lucky reader. What book could it be? Well, it's a sequel to a pretty popular YA release from 2012 that has gotten a load of coverage here at WFTM because... well, robots. Or androids in this case.

Yes, my friend, today I present you with the opportunity to win an ARC of Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, the sequel to Cinder. Are you excited?

The rules remain our usual: the contest officially begins as soon as I post this and runs through 12:01am eastern time on December 27. The giveaway is open to anyone with a US mailing address and will be chosen via Rafflecopter about a week (or two) after the contest closes. The winner will have 48 hours to respond via email or another winner will be chosen. Please respond if you are my winner because it makes me sad when I have to choose someone else. All following options are in the sidebar on the left, right under the WFTM banner.

Win in the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop - THREE WINNERS!

It's that time again - time for another wonderful blog hop hosted by Kathy at I Am a Reader, Not a Writer. This time it's the annual Spooktacular Giveaway Hop cohosted by The Diary of a Bookworm. Over 400 blogs are participating with each giving away an awesome bookish prize. That's a lot of chances to win a lot of prizes. Thank you for taking the time to check out our stop on the tour. You'll find the entire list of participating blogs at the bottom of this post.

My favorite part about Halloween is seeing all the little kids in their costumes. I'm partial to the tiny little superheroes, but all of them are crazy cute. This is the first year since I was a kid that I'm actually dressing up. Fernando decided he wanted to go to this costume party shindig as the current Doctor, which means I'll be going as the lovely Miss Amy Pond. Are you dressing up this Halloween?

But you're not here to discuss costumes. You're here for prizes! Well, I'm feeling generous so there will be THREE WINNERS. Yes, that's right - THREE! Each will get to pick a book from my magic box of contest giveaway books (okay, so it's not really magic, but it just sounds better when I say it is).

Anyway our rules remain our usual rules: the contest officially begins as soon as I post this and runs through 12:01am central time on November 1. The giveaway is open to anyone with a US mailing address and will be chosen via Rafflecopter about a week after the contest closes. The winner will have 48 hours to respond via email or another winner will be chosen. Please respond if you are my winner because it makes me sad when I have to choose someone else. All following options are in the sidebar on the left, right under the WFTM banner.
