If you want to join up with the 2013 Sci-Fi Reader Challenge, it's not too late! Sign up here and start linking up!

I am the worst challenge host ever. I didn't even realize that I hadn't put up the July link up until a kind participant brought it to my attention. Since it's so late in the month, I've decided to double up and have this be the official link up for both July and August. Let me know what awesome science fiction you've been reading lately!

I seem to be epically failing at running the Science Fiction Reader Challenge this year due to real life making organization and time for blogging near impossible, but this month I am only a day late in getting the link up posted. I hope those of you participating are still enjoying being exposed to science fiction that you might not have tried otherwise. This month I'm hoping to get back into science fiction reads since I'm almost done with clearing out my ARC shelf after being behind for far too long.

What are you looking forward to reading this month?

What science fiction book are you looking forward to reading the most this month? I'm leaning towards something steampunk and awesome.

I'm playing massive ARC catch up in April, which thankfully means I'll be hitting some sci-fi, including Arclight by Josin McQuein. Other books I plan to pick up this month are The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey and the steampunk novel Untimed by Andy Gavin. It should hopefully be a fun month.

What are you guys looking forward to reading this month?

I fail. I epically fail at running challenges. I'm blaming illness and cough syrup and still haven't gotten my head back above water. Yes, that's my story. Anyway here's the link up for March.

I think most of March for me will be stuck in A Storm of Swords as a promise to Fernando, but I'm hoping to get to some good science fiction as well. What are you guys looking forward to reading this month?

2013 Science Fiction Reader Challenge - February Link Up

One month down already. How are you guys doing with the challenge? I got through three sci-fi books that covered three categories - all on accident. Apparently I have a habit of promising publishers reviews of science fiction books, so that's come in handy.

Last month we had 10 reviews linked up across six of the 16 categories with the reviews breaking down as such:

- 3 Alternate History
- 2 Dystopias
- 2 YA
- 1 Robots
- 1 Military
- 1 Pre-50s Classic

I got through Revolution 19 by Gregg Rosenblum, Dualed by Elsie Chapman, and Prodigy by Marie Lu. It just now dawned on me that one of my link ups - Ultraviolet by RJ Anderson - was actually a book I read in December but reviewed last month. That's me cheating and I fess up now. I was probably half asleep when I linked it up. So I only read three scifi books in January.

In February I'm looking forward to reading Fragments by Dan Wells for dystopia, Scarlet by Marissa Meyer that might fit another robot category, and Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger (that might be steampunk). I also have a blog tour for Keeper of the Black Stones by PT McHugh, which will hit time travel. Busy, busy month. What are you guys looking forward to reading this month?

2013 Science Fiction Reader Challenge - January Link Up

Wow, am I embarrassed. Midway through brushing my teeth this morning, it dawned on me that while I put the sign up post for the 2013 Sci-Fi Reader Challenge, I sort of forgot to put up the link post for January! Late already and it's only the fourth day of the year!

Oye. My January goal is to get all my library books read as well as to get some review books read, which is a lot of fantasy. But I will get to Revolution 19 which is ROBOTS! I do hope to get to Prodigy by Marie Lu as well, which would hit the YA or dystopian category. I also have
